Arrival. Saabumine.

Two weeks. Then it began. Don't get me wrong – Minneapolis is and will always be home. It's a whirlwind ride of fun and love from friends-family every time I'm here, all of the time. The genuine desire to get by pleasantly, 'Minnesota nice', is astounding. However, there's something else beckoning from its native elsewhere. A siren from across the sea, but one that can be touched, and – as far as I know – doesn't lead you to jagged cliffs. Eesti is now home in the first sense, for good – the place to settle down. Home from which to journey, from which to recurrently return.

I wrote those lines after two weeks had passed in Minneapolis. Now, closing in on a month of being back home, I know and warmly embrace that it is truth in the most elementary state. The Higgs boson of the soul. December will mark five years since coming to the place that has somehow always been home, my destination. Paths in life. Wisconsin, Minnesota, Eesti. Home. Kodu. Finding peace. Complete sentences aren't called for.
